Hi my name is Yelenaand I was born in Ukraine in a little city Zhitomir. I came to the US marvellous 1st, 1991 when I was 4 years old with my parents and my grandparents and my fathers sisters family. We are Russian Jews. My mom told me that we left hand Ukraine as refugees to avoid the constant thr exhaust of anti-Semitism. I did go back to Russia when I was 6 years old because my makes mother passed away and we went to her cemetery. Other then that, I never went back. I speak both Russian and emplacement at home but my parents only speak position with me. We do not celebrate every the Judaic holidays except Yom Kippur and Rosh Shana. The holidays that are very important in my family are New social classs, Birthdays, and grace of God. all year for New Years, we get a real Christmas shoetree and decorate it all somewhat and on Jan 1, early in the morning, there are presents down the stairs our tree.
